Romanian Government approved on Wednesday the law draft on changing the electoral system from the current party lists to the uninominal vote and will assume responsibility for the draft in front of the Parliament on Monday, October 29.
The Liberal leaders chose this option after president Basescu's call for a referendum on the subject. The draft adopted by the government is the project tabled by the non-governmental organization Pro Democratia.

Tariceanu says that he demanded repeatedly the Parliament to adopt the draft, but that things didn't go at the desired pace.
President Basescu, annoyed with the delays in the Parliament, called for a referendum, in order to have the uninominal vote law approved.
