ImageA reputed Romanian journalist says on his blog on Tuesday that one of Romania's major media groups, Intact - to which his sports newspaper Gazeta Sporturilor belongs - has refused a preliminary offer of 400 million euro proposed by RTL for the takeover Antena 1 TV and other channels, except for Antena 3 TV.
Intact would rather sell them for 700 million euro, blogger Catalin Tolontan, who heads Gazeta Sporturilor, says on his blog.

Intact belongs to the family of Dan Voiculescu, the leader of Romania's Conservative Party (PC). The group runs major general interest TV station Antena 1, TV news channel Antena 3, top selling compact newspaper Jurnalul National, top selling sports newspaper Gazeta Sporturilor, business weekly Saptamana Financiara as well as several other media outlets.

Information has been circulating in media circles for a year about negotiations between Intact and RTL Bertelsmann but no official confirmation was released.
