At least 200 Internet pages belonging to European airlines mislead the users, a study conducted by the European Commission informs, as quoted by the BBC. According to the document, the web pages post prices that don't include taxes and various other obligatory expenses, or "free flights" that eventually prove not to be quite "free".
The European Commission may impose the airlines to shut their websites until next year, in case the problems aren't solved.

The Commission refused to name the companies, in order to allow them a chance to solve the problems far from the public eye. The study indicates that most misleads take place in Belgium, 46 out of the 48 web pages included in the study coming against some consumers' rights.

The opposite is Austria, where not even one of the 20 websites belonging to airlines was misleading.
